COMMENTS:
Charles Aznavour had a song from the 60’s called How Sad Venice Can Be (Que c est triste Venise). When I heard the song I could just imagine a solitary figure walking around the empty streets of the ancient city saddened by a recent romantic loss. I couldn’t go to Venice but I had Ottawa which I hoped I could film in such a way as to bring out the nostalgic loss of an old European City. Thank you to Anyi for being patient on a cold November afternoon.
